It gives us immense pleasure to welcome all our colleagues to the Second State
Conference of Academy of Family Physicians of India- AFPICON – Tamil Nadu
2022 to be held on 19 and 20 November 2022 at Meenakshi Mission
Hospital and Research Institute, Madurai.
Family physicians are the gatekeepers of the healthcare system. They act as
health managers, collaborators, friend, philosopher, protector and guide for a
family. Post covid era saw a re-emergence of Family medicine as a distinctive
speciality bringing Family physicians to the forefront.
Founded on 27 September 2010, AFPI is an academic association
representing the post graduate trained family medicine specialists in India
which is promoting training and education of primary care physicians which
has grown over the last twelve years having member base in all states of India
with 16 state chapters formed so far.
AFPICON – Tamil Nadu 2022 brings to the platform eminent Family Medicine
specialists and other faculty from across the country to lead the discussions
and real time hands on workshop to upskill the participants in various aspects
of Family practice. We assure you that this conference will be a great
experience of knowledge sharing and collaborating with the family medicine
fraternity.
